CLEMSON, SC - The Clemson Athletic Department has announced the match times for this weekend's NCAA Volleyball Tournament first and second rounds. Utah, the #12 seed in the tournament, will face Furman at 5:00 pm on Friday, while the Tigers will take on Tennessee at 7:00 p.m. The winners of Friday's matches will play at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. All matches will be held at Jervey Gym.
Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-CLEMSON. Ticket prices are $10 for Adults, $6 for Clemson Students, Senior Citizens (55+), and high school students (ages 13-18), and $4 for Youth (ages 3-12).
Clemson received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after a third-place finish in the ACC. The Tigers posted a 22-9 overall mark in 2008 with a 14-6 conference record, while Tennessee finished at an identical 22-9 ledger.
The Utes enter post-season with a 24-5 overall record and most recently defeated Nevada and Pacific to claim the Pacific Bankers Classic. Furman earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid after an upset-victory in the conference tournament last weekend. The Paladins boast a 21-13 record this season.
