Greensboro, NC - The ACC announced the 2004 All-Conference volleyball teams on Wednesday. Clemson had two players, Leslie Finn and Lori Ashton, selected for the first and second-team All-ACC, respectively. Brittany Ross was selected to the All-Freshmen team as well. Finn's first-team honor marked the second consecutive year she received such an accolade.

Finn led the Clemson team and the entire conference with 5.58 kills per game. Her 614 kills in the regular season set a school record, surpassing the 602 recorded by Robin Kibben in 1993. Finn also passed Kibben for the career kills record at Clemson, which was previously 1,804. She is just the sixth Tiger ever to be honored first-team All-ACC on more than one occasion.

Finn was a 2003 first-team All-ACC and AVCA All-Region selection. She also led the conference in kills per game last season. This year, Finn has topped the 20-kill mark in 18 different matches. Her season high was 30 in the loss to Georgia Tech in September. She also had a 20-20 performance (28 kills, 20 digs) in the loss to Duke on senior night earlier this season.

Ashton was a first-team All-ACC selection in 2002 and is a two-time AVCA All-Region performer. She led the Clemson team and was third in the ACC during the 2004 regular season with a .364 hitting percentage. Ashton holds the school record with a .383 hitting percentage, which she established in 2002.

Ashton also leads the Clemson team with 131 total blocks, and is now among the top five in Clemson history in both career kills and block assists. Ashton has had eight blocks on three different occasions, and has hit over .500 six times this season. Her season-high was a .650 performance against Western Carolina on September 3.

Ross established a Clemson freshman record for kills with 417 during the regular season. She topped the 20-kill mark on three different occasions, twice during ACC play. Ross finished the regular season third among ACC newcomers in total kills and fourth among freshmen in kills per game.
