Clemson Volleyball's Marija Zoric Named to Verizon Academic All-District III Team
Nov. 15, 2002 Junior Marija Zoric, a member of the Clemson volleyball team, was named to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District III University Division Volleyball Second Team. The native of Belgrade, Yugoslavia holds a 3.91 cumulative GPA in marketing and is a two-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll. On the court, Zoric leads the Tigers in blocks ranking third in the ACC with a 1.14 blocks per game average. She also ranks 10th in the conference in hitting percentage (.291), good for second on the Clemson team. This is her first academic all-district honor.
To qualify for Verizon Academic All-District and All-America honors,
a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with
legitimate athletic credentials and at least a 3.20 cumulative grade
point average (on a 4.0 scale). District III is comprised of NCAA
Division I schools in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South
Carolina and Virginia.
