Volleyball Prepares for Duke and Wake Forest

This Week's Matchups Clemson holds a 10-1 series advantage over Wake Forest. Earlier this season in Clemson, the Demon Deacons took a 3-1 victory over the Tigers. The Tigers lead the series with Georgia State 6-2. The two teams met twice in 1991, when Clemson won 3-1 and 3-0. Tigers' Latest Results Freshman Jodi Steffes led the Tigers with a .409 hitting percentage, with 10 kills, one error and 22 total attempts. Senior Stephanie Schulz had 16 digs and six blocks to lead Clemson. Junior Skye Frost had two service aces and 11 digs. The Tigers took a 15-3, 15-6, 15-10 victory over Florida A&M on Saturday. Junior Alison Coday led the Tigers will 11 kills. Junior Cindy Stern had nine kills, three errors and 20 attempts for a .300 hitting percentage. Junior Skye Frost had 10 digs and two service aces to lead the Tigers. She hit .750, with three kills and four attempts. ACC Notes Head coach Jolene Jordan Hoover needs just four victories to tie former head coach Linda White's record of 138 wins at the helm of the Tiger program. Hoover has a 134-55 record over her six seasons at Clemson and is 227-86 in her nine years as a head coach. Hoover's .725 winning percentage entering the season placed her 17th nationally among Division I head coaches. She ranks third among ACC coaches with 55 league wins. Only one other active ACC coach, Maryland's Janice Kruger, ranks ahead with 77 wins. Current Tigers Among Career Leaders Junior Cindy Stern is sixth on Clemson's all-time list with 1,054 kills. She passed the 1,000 career kill plateau earlier this season at Maryland. Stern ranks sixth on the career block assists list with 317 block assists and is in sixth place on the career block solos list with 105 block solos.
