Against The Field
The Tigers own a combined 12-3 record against the 2008 Big Orange Bash Tournament field. Clemson has won all 11 prior meetings with Charleston Southern, most recently defeating the Buccaneers, 3-0, during the 2003 season. The Panthers of Florida International hold a 2-1 edge over the Tigers, but Clemson won the last match-up in 1991. Syracuse and Clemson have met just once in history, 18 years ago in Tampa, FL, where the Orange posted a 3-0 victory.

Scouting The Opposition
The Big Orange Bash will be the season opener for all four teams involved. Last year, Syracuse finished with a 21-13 overall record and finished eighth in the Big East. Charleston Southern was 10-21 a year ago, while Florida International posted a 19-8 record in 2007.
