During her Tiger career, Steffes was Clemson's first four-time All-Region honoree and was a three-time All-ACC second-team member (1999-2001). She was named the 1998 ACC Rookie of the Year and that same year was named to the ACC All-Freshman team. Throughout her career at Clemson, she was named to seven all-tournament teams. Steffes ranks fifth on the all-time list for most attempts (3,600) and kills (1,422), ranks eighth in block assists (288) and ninth in service aces (132). She ranks second on Clemson's all-time defensive saves list with 1,309 digs and was named to the ACC's 50th Anniversary team.
She is responsible for team travel, opponent scouting, day to day administrative duties, as well as assisting in recruiting and game management. Steffes trains the outside hitters and defensive specialists. In 2003, she coached Leslie Finn to All-ACC honors after she totaled a team-best 568 kills. Finn certainly benefited from Steffes' guidance in 2004, as she was awarded AVCA honorable mention All-America honors, as well as All-Region and All-ACC for the second consecutive year.
The native of Elwood, IL, graduated from Clemson in 2002 with a degree in elementary education. While completing her student teaching, Steffes served as the head coach of the Walhalla High School volleyball team. She coached the team to the regional playoffs in 2002.

Tournament...recorded nine kills and 12 digs against Indiana in the
NCAA Tournament...led team with 44 service aces and 334 digs...ranked
third on team with 70 blocks...ranked second on team with 68 block
assists...ranked third on team with .308 hitting percentage...reached
double-figures in kills in 12 matches...reached double-figures in
digs in 19 matches...a member of the Michigan State Classic
All-Tournament Team and the Clemson Invitational All-Tournament
Team...chosen by her teammates as Clemson's Best Practice Player.
In 1998:

10/9)...tallied 205 of her 356 digs against ACC competition...posted
11 double-doubles...had 19 kills and 31 digs, both career highs, in
Clemson's 3-2 win at Wake Forest (10/21)...recorded 24 digs at home
against the Demon Deacons (10/10)...led the Tigers with 14 kills, no
errors and 26 attempts for a .538 hitting percentage against
second-ranked Penn State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
