Tigers In The NCAA:
The Clemson Tiger volleyball team once again earned slots in the NCAA statistics for matches played through Sunday, September 28th. As a team, Clemson was ranked third in the nation by averaging 3.60 blocks per game. The Tigers were also one of only six teams in the nation to still be undefeated giving them a share of the NCAA first-place slot for best match won-loss percentage.

Individually, sophomore middle hitter Cindy Stern was ranked fifth in the nation for blocks per game (1.76).

Stern & Thieke Tackle Statistical Feat
Sophomore Cindy Stern and senior Michelle Thieke had a great weekend in Dallas at the SMU Tournament, accumulating a total of three triple doubles. In the Tigers' first match against Mississippi State, Stern's triple double included 12 kills, 10 digs, and 10 blocks while Thieke added 10 kills, 47 assists, and 12 digs. Then, in the Tigers' victory over Sam Houston State, Stern added another triple double when she tallied 23 kills, 11 digs, and 10 blocks.

Triple doubles have been a rare occurrence in the Tiger record book. Only four other players in the 21 years of Tiger volleyball are part of this elite group.
