Clemson, SC - Patricia Mamona of the women's track & field team is ranked in this week's 'Dandy Dozen' in the triple jump, according to Trackwire. The online site publishes a list of 12 student-athletes at the top of various events in track & field on a weekly basis. Mamona is listed eighth in this week's rankings.

Mamona recently earned All-ACC honors with a runner-up finish in the triple jump. She hit a mark of 42'1.25" at the ACC Championships, then improved with a personal best effort last weekend at the Penn Relays. At the prestigious meet, the native of Portugal had a leap of 43'0.5" to move into second place on the Lady Tigers' all-time performance list in the outdoor triple jump. She also ranks second on the school's indoor list, behind only former NCAA champion Gisele Oliveira in both.

Mamona has qualified for regionals in the triple jump and also owns the squad's top mark in the long jump at 19'3.5". The East Region Championships will be held May 25-26 in Gainesville, FL.
