CLEMSON, SC - The Clemson women's track and field team will compete at the 2002 Penn Relays this weekend in Philadelphia. Randi Hinton, Jackie Hudgins, Jamine Moton, Lauren Nicholson, Gisele Oliveira, Marcia Smith, Sheri Smith, Silja Ulfarsdottir and Danielle Whaley will compete for the Lady Tigers this weekend.

Jamine Moton ranks third in NCAA Division I in the shot put with her season-best of 16.89m/55'5", and is fifth in the hammer throw (62.82m/206'1"). Moton has also posted a qualifying mark in the discus throw (51.87m/170'2"). Marcia Smith has provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 400m dash with a time of 53.34. Sheri Smith currently ranks sixth in the nation in the triple jump with a mark of 13.12m/43'0.5", and Gisele Oliveira has the 15th-best mark in the nation (12.80m/42'0") in that event.
