Clemson, SC - The women's track & field team will return to action Friday for the Florida Relays, held in Gainesville, FL at the Percy Beard Track & Field Stadium. Clemson will travel 23 student-athletes to the same venue that served as host site for the 2007 East Region Championships.

Polly Hardy, a regional qualifier already this season, will get things started Friday at 12:25 PM with the running of the 100m hurdles. She ranks third in school history in the event and ran a 13.92 at the Clemson Relays two weeks ago. Jenna Baker and Joanie Castagno, both first-year freshmen, will compete in the 1500m at 1:50. Katie Farnan and Kendra Gauntlett will be in the opening section of the high jump at 2:30.

Ra'Sheena Parker and Kristine Scott are entered in the 100m dash at 4:00 Friday, while Christina Mason is slated for the 800m at 4:30 PM. Anastasia Wilson is in the "A" section of the high jump at 5:00, while Michaylin Golladay and Sierra Hill will run the 400m hurdles at 5:20. Caroline Kennedy, a native of Florida, will compete in the pole vault at 5:30 Friday. She finished sixth place at the East Region meet last season at the Percy Beard facility. Friday's action will conclude with the 4x200m relay at 6:55 and the 4x1600m relay at 7:55 PM.

Saturday's action will start at 11:30 AM, with Catheryne Porter in the discus and Bethanie Wachna in the javelin throw. Wachna qualified for the 2008 East Region Championships last weekend with a mark of 145'11" at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.

The sprint medley relay team of Scott, Parker, Hill, and Mason will compete Saturday at 12:00 noon. Hardy and Golladay will be joined by sophomores Patricia Mamona and Ashley Good for the shuttle hurdle relay at 12:30 PM.

Emily Barlage will compete in Saturday's pole vault section at 2:30, with Lisa Brown scheduled for the 3000m steeplechase at 2:45. The final event of the weekend for the Lady Tigers will be the 4x100m relay at 4:10 PM. The lineup will be determined at the site of the meet for that event.
