Gainesville, FL - The women's track & field team had three student-athletes competing Friday at the NCAA East Region Champions at the Percy Beard Track on the University of Florida campus.

Polly Hardy was third in the final qualifying heat on Friday afternoon in the 100m hurdles. The junior from Anderson, SC had a time of 13.69, but did not advance to Saturday's final. Hardy, who was 11th-fastest Friday, ranks third in school history in the high hurdles.

Linda Buchholz and Bethanie Wachna, a pair of freshmen, both competed in the javelin throw Friday. Buchholz was 18th overall with a throw of 141'0", while Wachna finished 23rd at 135'9".

The Lady Tigers return to action on Saturday for the conclusion of the East Region Championships. Clemson's first action will be at 12:00 noon, with Della Clark and Rochelle Kokayko competing in the hammer throw.
