ATLANTA- The Clemson women's track and field team competed at the Georgia Tech Invitational this weekend at the George C. Griffin Track. The Lady Tigers' Gisele Oliveira posted a season-best and provisional qualifying mark of 13.11m/43'0.25" in the triple jump to finish second among collegiate competitors.

In the 400m dash, Marcia Smith recorded a time of 54.98, while Sheri Smith posted a mark of 12.40m/40'8.25" in the triple jump. Jackie Hudgins finished eighth in the shot put with a mark of 14.36m/47'1.5".

Jamine Moton, Gisele Oliveira and Sheri Smith will compete for the Lady Tigers at the 2002 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 29-June 1 in Baton Rouge, LA.
