Athens, GA - The Clemson women's track & field team kicked off its outdoor season Friday by competing in the Georgia Relays at the University of Georgia. A handful of student-athletes made the trip to Athens to participate on day one of competition. Patricia Mamona's fourth-place effort in the triple jump highlighted Clemson's day one efforts.

Mamona, who ranks second in Clemson history in the indoor triple jump after just one season, placed fourth after hitting a mark of 38'11.5". She was one of four Lady Tigers to participate in the triple jump. Nakeisha Wineglass, also a freshman, finished in sixth place after she posted a jump of 38'9". Anastasia Wilson (37'1.25") and Krystal Barringer (36'9.75") rounded out Clemson's triple jump action Friday.

The Lady Tiger team of Sierra Hill, Kristine Scott, Ope Sobanjo, and Polly Hardy competed in the 1600m sprint medley but finished seventh. That squad posted a time of 4:29.37.

Catheryne Porter completed the Lady Tigers' efforts on day one in the hammer throw. She placed eighth with a toss of 142'4". Rochelle Kokayko fouled in her attempts in that event.

Clemson returns to action on Saturday for the final day at the Georgia Relays.
