CLEMSON, S.C. -- Clemson freshman Carmina Giraldo of Pereira, Colombia, will compete in the NCAA Women's Tennis Individual Championships May 24-28 at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Sixty-four individuals will compete in the tournament, including seven athletes from the ACC.

Giraldo, ranked 67th nationally, posted a 12-7 record at number one singles this season and has won 10 of her last 13 singles matches. An all-ACC selection, she recorded a 5-2 record in ACC singles competition. At the ACC Tournament in Atlanta, Giraldo defeated 11th-ranked Mariel Verban of Wake Forest 6-4, 6-4.

Seedings and pairings for the tournament will be released by the NCAA prior to the tournament.
