Tiger Tennis Ranked #11 In Latest ITA Poll
May 3, 2005 CLEMSON, SC - The Tigers are listed at #11 in the latest ITA women's tennis poll, released on Tuesday, May 3. Clemson put together an 18-8 record during the 2005 regular season and ACC Championship, while going 8-2 against conference opponents during the regular season. The NCAA Regional sites and teams will be announced on Wednesday, May 4. ESPNews will air the selection show between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM E.T. Regionals will be held on May 13-15 at 16 different locations. Julie Coin held the number two ranking for the sixth straight ITA singles poll. The senior from Amiens, France has compiled a 32-4 overall record and a 23-2 mark in dual matches. She had a 19-match winning streak to start the dual season before falling to #1-ranked Megan Bradley of Miami on Apr. 9. Romy Farah is also listed in the singles poll at #59. The Cali, Columbia native boasts a 24-11 overall record and a 15-9 mark during dual play. Coin and senior Alix Lacelarie moved up one spot from last week's ranking to #12 in the ITA doubles poll. The tandem has a 7-1 record in dual matches and a 10-2 overall mark. A second Tiger duo is listed at #32 as Coin and Farah have won 16 matches together, against only four losses.
