WINTON-SALEM, NC - Two Clemson doubles teams reached the quarterfinals of the Wilson/ITA Southeast Regional for the second straight year while Josipa Bek and Keri Wong advanced in singles action Saturday. Play will continue on Sunday at the University Indoor Tennis Courts on the campus of Wake Forest University.

Bek partnered with Federica van Adrichem to post an 8-3 win over Tennessee's team of Jennifer Meredith and Natalie Ploskota on Saturday while the Tiger tandem of Keri Wong and Ina Hadziselimovic upset fourth-seeded Carolina Escamilla and Christine Johnson of Kentucky (8-5).

Clemson fell short in its bid to send three teams to the round of eight as Alexandra Luc and Estefania Balda fell to the #2-seeded team from North Carolina of Sanaz Marand and Sophie Grabinksi (8-4).

Bek and Wong also advanced in singles play with second-round victories on Saturday. Bek defeated Tar Heel Laura Reichert in straight sets (6-0, 6-2) and will face top-seeded Sanaz Marand in the round of 16. Wong also posted a win over a North Carolina player, downing Austin Smith by a 6-1, 6-2 margin. The rookie from Jackson, MS then defeated Berkeley Brock of NC State in the round of 16, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1..

In other singles action, Van Adrichem fell in her second-round match-up, dropping a three-set battle with Kentucky's Megan Broderick (6-4, 4-6, 6-4). Luc's singles run ended in a tough three-set match as well on Saturday. The junior from Paris, France lost to North Carolina's Katarina Tsang, 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-2.
