WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Clemson's doubles teams were a perfect 7-0 and four Tiger singles players picked up wins on Friday to advance in the main draws of the Wilson/ITA Southeast Regional in Winston-Salem, NC. Play will continue on Saturday at 8:00 am the University Indoor Tennis Center on the campus of Wake Forest University.

The three doubles teams all advanced to the round of 16. Federica van Adrichem and Josipa Bek partnered for the first time this season to defeat Kentucky's duo of Jennifer Stone and Carolina Lilley, 8-3, in the round of 32. The Tiger team had earned a first-round bye in the tournament. Clemson's Alexandra Luc and Estefania Balda then posted a pair of wins on Friday. They downed Shannon Loughnan and Laken Joyce of Winston-Salem State (8-1) before winning an 8-3 decision against Louisville's Jo-Ann Van Aerde and Lindsey Jones in the second round.

Keri Wong and Ina Hadziselimovic also recorded a pair of wins. The Tiger duo breezed by Taylor Coffey and Natalie Araya of Middle Tennessee State, 8-1, in the first round and then defeated Wake Forest's team of Katarina Reveche and Ryanne Cutillo, 8-2.

In singles action, Bek, Van Adrichem, Wong and Luc all advanced to the second round. Bek defeated Cutillo of Wake Forest in straight sets (6-1, 6-4) while Van Adrichem also picked up a two-set victory, posting a 6-4, 6-3 win against Lindsey Jones of Louisville. Wong won easily over Campbell's Blanca Saenz (6-3, 6-0) and Luc defeated Middle Tennessee State's Araya by the same margin.

Balda suffered a tough loss to North Carolina's Sophie Grabinski with both sets going to a tie break. Meanwhile, Hadziselimovic fell to fourth-seeded Reka Zsilinska of Duke in the first round, 6-3, 7-5.
