PACIFIC PALISADES, CA - Clemson women's tennis player Ani Mijacika reached the quarterfinals of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships before falling to end her run in the tournament. Mijacika defeated Julia Cohen of Miami in the opening round (6-3, 6-1) on Thursday and then won a three-set battle over Georgia Tech's Irina Falconi (7-6(3), 5-7, 6-3) in the round of 16 on Friday afternoon. The Tiger junior then fell to Fani Chifchieva of Auburn on Friday evening in another grueling three-set match (4-6, 7-5, 7-6(3)). The native of Makarska, Croatia now owns an 8-1 record for the fall season.

The Tiger team will be back in action at the Wilson/ITA Southeast Regional later this month. Qualifying rounds of the tournament will begin on Oct. 22 in Winston-Salem, NC.
