PACIFIC PALISADES, CA - The Clemson women's tennis doubles team of Ani Mijacika and Federica van Adrichem won a pair of matches in the qualifying rounds of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships before falling in the round of eight at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, CA.

In the opening round, the Tiger tandem defeated UCLA's team of Remynse and Pantic, who advanced through the prequalifying event, by an 8-3 margin. Mijacika and Van Adrichem then posted an 8-5 win over the team of Jennifer Stevens and Amanda Rales from Virginia. The Clemson team was edged by Georgia Tech's team of Amanda McDowell and Irina Falconi, 8-6, on Wednesday night to end its quest to advance to the main draw of the tournament.

Mijacika will begin play in the main draw of the singles tournament on Thursday. She earned the #2-seed as the second-ranked player in the Fila/ITA Tennis preseason poll. The native of Makarska, Croatia, who reached the finals of the 2007 All-American, boasts an unblemished 6-0 record through the first two tournaments of the fall season.
