TULSA, OK - The Clemson women's tennis doubles tandem of Ani Mijacika and Carol Salge fell in the NCAA Doubles Championship quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon. The Tiger duo finished the season with a 17-3 overall record.

Mijacika and Salge earned All-America honors for reaching the round of eight, while earning the fourth seed in the national tournament also qualified them for the accolade.

They fell to Fresno State's team of Renata Kucerkova and Anastasia Petukhova by a 6-2 margin in the opening set on Saturday. The Tiger tandem then rallied to win the tiebreak in the second set (7-3) and captured the first two games of the third set. However, the Bulldogs rebounded to claim the set (6-4) and match.

Mijacika and Salge were just the third Clemson doubles team in history to reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament. Mijacika partnered with Federica van Adrichem last year to advance to the final four.

The final individual rankings will be released following the conclusion of the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
