Clemson Women's Tennis Defeats Wyoming

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Clemson women's tennis team defeated the University of Wyoming 7-0 Saturday afternoon in a match played at Virginia Tech. With the win, Clemson improves to 4-2 overall.
In singles action, Christina Oldock defeated Jenny Bowman 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the one singles position. Anna Savitskaya won at the two slot, 6-1, 6-2 over Stacy Kneese. At three singles, Laurence Jayet defeated Wyoming's Sofi Espinoza 6-1, 6-1 and Ana Stiglic took a 6-0, 6-0 decision over the Cowgirls' Andela Dosseter at the four singles. Milena Stanoycheva defeated Yuliani Santi 7-6, 6-2 at number five singles and Anna Dolinska defeated Jennifer Hancock 6-1, 6-0 at the six singles position.
In doubles action, Clemson's Jayet and Stanoycheva defeated Bowman and Dosseter 8-6 at the top doubles position. The Tigers' second-seeded team of Stanoycheva and Dolinska defeated Kneese and Espinosa 8-6. Stiglic and Oldock paired up to give Clemson the doubles sweep with an 8-1 win over Santi and Toni Terhaar at the three doubles position.
Clemson plays Virginia Tech Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in Blacksburg, VA.
