CLEMSON, SC - The Clemson women's soccer team will face 11th-ranked Duke on Sunday afternoon in Durham, NC. The game between the Tigers and Blue Devils is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Koskinen Stadium.
Sunday's game will be the Tigers' second of four consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference road contests to conclude the regular season. It will also be the team's fifth game of the season against an opponent ranked in the top 11 nationally. Clemson is 5-8-1 overall and 1-5-1 in ACC play, most recently falling to #6 Florida State on Thursday night in Tallahassee by a score of 4-0.
Julie Bolt leads the Tigers with nine goals and one assist for 19 points on the season. The senior forward ranks third among all conference players in goals per game (0.75) and points per game (1.58). Junior midfielder Molly Franklin ranks second on the team in scoring with eight points on two goals and a team-best four assists. Sophomore Paula Pritzen has posted 72 saves in over 1231 minutes in goal for Clemson.
Duke has an 11-3-2 overall record and a 3-2-2 mark in conference play. The Blue Devils played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie against Miami in Coral Gables, FL on Thursday night. Duke is led in scoring by Elisabeth Redmond (10 goals, four assists, 24 points) and KayAnne Gummersall (nine goals, three assists, 21 points). Keeper Cassidy Powers has recorded 47 saves in 1388 minutes in goal for the Blue Devils.
The Tigers lead the series between the two teams, having posted an 11-6 all-time record against the Blue Devils. In 2007, Clemson defeated Duke by a score of 1-0 on Senior Day at Riggs Field.
