Women's Soccer Off To Fast Start

CLEMSON'S RECORD--Clemson has a 5-1 record overall after a win over Princeton and a loss to Richmond in the Clemson/Nike Invitational.
NATIONAL RANKINGS--Clemson is ranked 12th in the Soccer America poll and 18th in the NSCAA listing as of September 13.
CLEMSON'S LEADERS--Freshman Deliah Arrington leads the Lady Tigers in scoring with three goals and four assists for 10 points. Freshman Rachel Gallegos had three goals and two assists for eight points. Heather Beem, also a freshman, had two goals and four assist for eight points.
CLEMSON DEFEATS PRINCETON--Beth Keller (Hilton Head, SC) scored the game's only goal in leading seventh-ranked Clemson to a 1-0 win over Princeton in the Clemson/Nike Women's Soccer Tournament at Clemson, SC Friday, September 10.
Keller scored on a direct kick from 25 yards out from the middle at the 39:54 mark. This was Keller's second goal of the season.

RICHMOND UPSETS CLEMSON 1-0--Brook Sands scored the game's lone goal in leading Richmond to a 1-0 upset win over seventh-ranked Clemson and to the championship of the Clemson/Nike Women's Soccer Invitational at Clemson, SC Sunday, September 12.
Sands scored her goal at the 65:48 mark in the game. Laura Gincel stole the ball and ran to the right corner and crossed the ball to Sands near the right post. Sands headed the ball in from four yards out to give the Spiders the win. RICHMOND 1, CLEMSON 0
