CLEMSON, SC - The Clemson women's soccer team will play host to UNC Asheville on Sunday afternoon at Riggs Field. The game between the Tigers and Bulldogs is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.

Clemson has a 2-0 record under head coach Hershey Strosberg, opening the season with wins over Alabama-Birmingham (1-0) and Presbyterian College (3-0) at home. The Tigers are led in scoring by freshman Tara Cort, who has one goal and one assist for three points in the team's first two contests. Sophomore Paula Pritzen has posted two solo shutouts in goal for Clemson.

The Bulldogs are 0-1 on the season, after falling to East Tennessee State by a score of 1-0 in their season opener on August 24. UNC Asheville defeated Mars Hill 3-1 in an exhibition game during the 2008 preseason.

The Tigers have an 8-0 all-time record in the series against the Bulldogs, which dates back to the 1994 season, the inaugural year of the program at Clemson. In the most recent meeting between the two teams, the Tigers defeated UNC Asheville by a score of 7-0 at Riggs Field on October 12, 2004.
