Clemson, SC - The Clemson women's soccer team will open its first season under Head Coach Hershey Strosberg on Saturday, August 16 with an exhibition match at Charleston Southern. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. at Buccaneer Field in Charleston.

It will be the first and only exhibition contest for Clemson, which will open the 2008 regular season at home on Friday, August 22 against Alabama-Birmingham. The contest between the Tigers and the Blazers is set for 7:00 p.m. at Riggs Field.

The Tigers return six starters and 16 letterwinners from the 2007 squad, which finished the season with a 10-6-5 overall record. Clemson advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2007, reaching the national tournament for the 14th consecutive season.
