Women's Soccer Opens up '99 Season against UNC-Asheville

The Clemson women's team will open its 1999 season on August 27, as the Lady Tigers will play host to UNC-Asheville. The schedule will feature seven Atlantic Coast Conference foes and non-conference opponents William & Mary, Washington, Southern Methodist, Nebraska, Davidson, South Carolina, UNC-Greensboro, and defending National Champion Florida at Gainesville, FL. Clemson will play host to the Clemson/Nike Invitational on September 10 & 12 as Furman, Richmond and Princeton will participate in this event. The Lady Tigers return seven starters and 17 letterwinners off the 1998 team that finished with a 16-7 record overall. The Lady Tigers finished 11th in both the final Soccer America and NSCAA polls and advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Final 16. 1999 CLEMSON WOMEN'S SOCCER
