Santa Clara Defeats Clemson 3-0

Lady Tiger Soccer Team Ends Season in NCAA Final Eight

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Jacqui Little scored one goal and assisted on another in leading third-ranked Santa Clara to a 3-0 win over Clemson in the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament quarterfinals at Santa Clara, CA Saturday.

Santa Clara improves its record to 20-2-1 overall, while Clemson finishes its season with a 15-7 record this season. Santa Clara is ranked third in both the NSCAA (Coaches') and Soccer America polls. Clemson is ranked 14th by the NSCAA and 10th in Soccer America. Santa Clara is also seeded fourth in the tournament.

The Broncos scored first at the 23:31 point. Kylie Biven scored on a diving header with an assist by Nikki Serlenga.

Santa Clara scored two late goals as Megan Horvath scored at the 77:50 mark with an assist by Little. Little scored at the 85:59 point in the game with an assist by Mandy Clemens.

The Broncos advance to the NCAA Tournament's Final Four in Greensboro, NC next weekend.
