Clemson will meet the winner of the Minnesota-Santa Clara match next weekend in the round of eight.
"We are excited to be able to advance to the final eight," said Clemson Head Coach Tracey Leone.
"We were focused today and showed great poise. We showed a lot of heart and desire. Beth Keller did a great job and she was a huge key to the game. She scored a goal, she defended well, and did everything for us today. We beat a goodteam today and I am proud of our effort."
"They were simply the better team today," said UNC-Greensboro Head Coach Jack Poland.
"They adjusted well to us since we beat them in October. We wish Clemson much success in the next round. They play three up front today and I think Sheri Bueter was the largest difference today. She is a tremendous front runner. We were down 2-0 early and we played on the back of our heels the rest of the afternoon. I am very proud of my team and the season we had this year."
