Deliah Arrington scored two goals and had one assist, and teammate Lindsay Brown had two goals and two assists in leading 12th-ranked Clemson to a 7-1 win over Charleston Southern in a women's intercollegiate soccer match at Clemson, SC Wednesday night. With the win, Clemson improves to 11-6 overall, while Charleston Southern falls to 2-12-2 this season. Clemson is ranked 12th by Soccer America and 20th by the NSCAA.

Arrington's two goals put her in first place on the Clemson career list for most goals scored with 45. She passed former Lady Tiger Carmie Landeen who had 43 goals in the 1994 and 1995 seasons. She also broke the school's record for points in tonight's match. With the two goals and one assist, she now has 116 career points, breaking the old mark held by former Lady Tiger All-America Sara Burkett who had 114 points. Arrington is a senior from Pawleys Island, SC.

Arrington is Clemson's leading scorer this season with 13 goals and six assist for 32 points. Allison Graham, Heather Beem and Sarah Heck scored the other goals for Clemson. Tennille Vance scored for Charleston Southern with an assist by Karrie Broderick at the 61:56 mark. The Lady Tigers will play host to Florida on November 2, at 7:00 p.m. in Clemson's next match.

"I am happy with the way we approached this match," said Clemson Head Coach Todd Bramble. "We came mentally prepared and this showed in the match. I feel pretty good about our record, but I remain cautious. I hope we can continue to build on our momentum and avoid a letdown. I was happy that Lindsay Brown scored two goals in the match. I also am very happy for Deliah Arrington and what she means to our program. What she accomplished tonight is very special and well-deserved."
