Courtney Foster scored one goal and had one assist in 15th-ranked Clemson's 4-2 win over Miami in a women's Atlantic Coast Conference soccer match at Clemson, SC Wednesday night. With the win, Clemson improves to 7-3 overall, and 2-1 in the ACC. Miami falls to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.

The Lady Tigers' Lydia Vandenbergh finished the night with two assists. Clemson scored first with only :23 seconds gone in the match. Lindsay Brown scored with an assist by Foster. Foster gave the Lady Tigers a 2-0 lead with 15:08 elapsed with an assist by Vandenbergh.

The Lady Tigers scored again at the 30:44 point in the match as Kelly Schneider scored her fourth goal of the year with assists by Jacquelyn Hines and Britten Meyer.

Miami scored two goals early in the second half. Kristen Chapman scored her first goal of the year with an assist by Sheuneen Ta with 2:36 gone in the second half. Andrea Radice scored her first goal of the season at the 53:22 mark.

The Lady Tigers took a 4-2 lead with 11:17 left to go in the match as Elizabeth Jobe scored her second goal of the year off a corner kick served by Vandenbergh.

"I am very disappointed in our performance tonight," said Clemson Head Soccer Coach Todd Bramble. "We have to learn to play 90 minutes and not 45. We did not play well enough to compete in the high levels in the ACC or in the country. I hope we can learn from this win and not quit during the middle of the game."

Clemson will play host to Maryland on Saturday, October 2, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lady Tigers' next action.
