Florida State Downs Clemson
Sept. 17, 2004 Tallahassee, FL - Florida State scored two goals early in the second half in leading Florida State to a 2-1 win in an Atlantic Coast Conference women's soccer match at Tallahassee, FL Friday night. Win the win, Florida State improves to 6-1 overall, while Clemson falls to 5-3 this season. It was the first Atlantic Coast Conference match for both teams. After a scoreless first half, Leah Gallegos scored on an unassisted goal at the 56:29 mark into the match. It was Gallegos' third goal of the season. At the 61:51 point, Julie Schnugg scored with an assist by Camie Bybee. It was her third goal of the season. Clemson scored late with 4:15 left to play. Allison Graham scored on a loose ball for her first goal of the season. "We kept fighting but it was not enough," said Clemson Head Coach Todd Bramble. "We had to play with a player down after Jacquelyn Hines received a red card early in the second half. This team is searching for their identity. We are in a rut. The best news is that we have a week to prepare for our next game." The Lady Tigers will play at N.C. State on September 24, in the Lady Tigers' next action.
