Assistant Coach

Todd Shulenberger is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Clemson women's soccer program. Shulenberger serves as the team's recruiting coordinator and budget manager and is an assistant director of Clemson's women's soccer camp program. He works with the Tiger goalkeepers but also works closely in all areas of team and individual practice sessions.

"Todd's efforts were critical during the coaching change and showed wonderful loyalty to Clemson and this soccer program," said Head Coach Hershey Strosberg. "He will play a vital role in recruiting and he brings much hard work and enthusiasm to our staff and team. I am excited that he wants to be a part of what we will build here."

Shulenberger served an assistant coach on former head coach Todd Bramble's staff in 2007. He came to Clemson from Atlanta, GA, where he served as the Director of Coaching for the TopHat Soccer Club from 1997-2007. While with TopHat, Shulenberger directed player development and staff and served as the club's College Placement Advisor. He organized and directed all camps and clinics as well as the club's indoor soccer operations. Shulenberger was also the head coach of U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19 girls' teams for TopHat. His U-16 team was the Georgia State Champion in 2006 and his U-18 team won the state championship in 2007 and was the Region III Premier League runner-up in 2006.

In 2003 and 2004, Shulenberger was an assistant women's soccer coach at Georgia State University in Atlanta. While working with the Panthers' program, he prepared and conducted practices and assisted in games. He also performed many recruiting functions and organized the team's travel.

Shulenberger graduated from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA with a degree in marketing in 1994. He was a member of the Colonial soccer team from 1990-94 and led the 1993 squad to an NCAA Division I Tournament appearance. Shulenberger played professionally for the Canton Invaders of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) in Canton, OH from 1994-96.

Shulenberger and his wife, Christy (Walls), were married in 2006. The couple has a 22-month old daughter, Kyla Christine.

"I am very excited and thankful to be a part of this great staff at Clemson University," said Shulenberger. "I feel that, under the leadership of Hershey, we all bring similar ideas and goals to make up a perfect formula. I am thrilled to be working in this environment and to be able to continue the tradition of Clemson women's soccer."
