April 3, 1993 -- Clemson announced it will field women's soccer for the 1994 season.
June 30, 1993 -- Tracey Leone is named Clemson's first-ever women's soccer coach
Aug. 20, 1993 -- Tracey Leone started work at Clemson University.
Sept. 4, 1994 -- Clemson played its first-ever match against North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC. The top-ranked Tar Heels defeated the Lady Tigers 7-0
Sept. 9, 1994 -- The Lady Tigers played their first home match against Loyola (MD) at 7:00 p.m. Clemson's Keri Nelson recorded the Lady Tigers' first ever goal at the 28:09 mark into the game. Nikki Tompkins was credited with an assist. Clemson earned its first ever victory by a 5-1 score.
Sept. 18, 1994 -- The Lady Tigers upset 15th-ranked Vanderbilt 2-1 in overtime in Nashville, TN. This was the Lady TIgers' first win over a ranked team. Vanderbilt was ranked 15th in the ISAA poll, 16th in the Soccer America listing.
Sept. 26, 1994 -- Clemson was ranked for the first time. The Lady Tigers were ranked 17th in the ISAA poll. The Lady Tigers were ranked for the first time in the Soccer America poll. Clemson was ranked 19th.
Oct. 15, 1994 -- Clemson won its first Atlantic Coast Conference match with a 4-2 win over N.C. State at Clemson, SC. Ironically the Clemson's men's team had won its first ACC match over N.C. State on November 11, 1967.
Nov. 2, 1994 -- The Lady Tigers Carmie Landeen and Sheri Bueter were named second-team All-ACC as announced by the league's office. Landeen was also named ACC Rookie-of-the-Year.
Nov. 3, 1994 -- Clemson lost to N.C. State in the first round of the ACC Tournament in Chapel Hill, NC in overtime.
Nov. 6, 1994 -- Clemson received a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Clemson was the only first-year team in the nation to earn a bid.
Nov. 9, 1994 -- Clemson played N.C. State to a 1-1 tie after 150 minutes, but N.C. State advanced to the next round of the NCAA Women's soccer tournament by winning the penalty kick round 5-4. Dayna Smith scored the winning penalty kick in the sudden death round of penalty kicks.
Sept. 29-30, 1995 -- The Lady Tigers won the Clemson Tournament with a 6-0 win over Florida State and a 7-0 victory against South Carolina.
Oct. 17, 1995 -- Clemson claimed its 25th all-time victory in a 4-0 win over UNC-Asheville.
Nov. 1, 1995 -- Meredith McCullen and Sara Burkett were named first-team All-ACC, and Carmie Landeen was named second-team All-ACC.
Nov. 6, 1995 -- Clemson finished the season ranked 16th in the ISAA poll and 15th in the Soccer America listing.
Nov. 12, 1995 -- Clemson lost to Texas A&M 4-1, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in College Station, TX.
Sept. 13-14, 1996 -- Clemson defeated Virginia 2-1 on September 13, and George Washington 2-0, on September 14 as the Lady Tigers won the Virginia Invitational.
Nov. 1, 1996 -- Clemson defeated eighth-ranked Maryland 2-0 at Riggs Field, the program's first-ever win over at Top-10 team.
Nov. 6, 1996 -- Sara Burkett was named first-team All-ACC. Beth Keller was named second-team All-ACC.
Nov. 11, 1996 -- Clemson finished 11th in the final Soccer America poll.
Nov. 7-10, 1996 -- The Lady Tigers played host to the ACC Tournament on Riggs Field. Clemson lost to North Carolina in the Championship game 4-1. The Lady Tigers appeared on televison in the semifinal and the championship games. This marked the first time the Lady Tigers have ever been on televison.
Nov. 17, 1996 -- The Lady Tigers lost to Wake Forest 2-1, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Clemson, SC.
Dec. 12, 1996 -- Clemson finished 18th in the final NCSAA poll.
