Clemson Rowing to Compete in the Head of the South

Clemson, S.C. - The Clemson rowing team will travel to Augusta, GA, to compete in the Head of the South this Saturday on the Savannah River. The Tigers will see teams from across the southeast including Tennessee, who will compete in Clemson's Head of Lake Hartwell on Oct. 27.

The Tigers' novice boats will compete for the first time this season, with the Novice 8+ race at 9:15 a.m., and the Novice 4+ race at 3:20 p.m. Clemson will also compete in the Championship 8+, Championship 4+, Open 2-Final and the 2x-Final.

Most recently, the Tigers competed against North Carolina and Duke at the Carolina Cup September 29. Seniors Megan McGuirt and Jaimee Kamnik won the doubles race with a time of 19:31.

Following this weekend's race, the Tiger rowing team will travel to Boston, MA, for the Head of Charles regatta.
