Rowing Begins Fall Season Saturday On Lake Hartwell

The Clemson rowing team kicks off its fall season this Saturday when it plays host to the Tail of the Tiger regatta on Lake Hartwell. Also participating in the event will be the Clemson University Rowing Association, South Carolina, and Georgia. The first event is scheduled for 9:00 AM, with the concluding event at 11:00 AM.

Clemson will have three boats entered in the Varsity 8+ race scheduled for 9:05 AM. The Tigers have two boats entered for the novice 4+ event at 9:10 AM. In the second flight of races, the women's novice 8+ will feature two boats from Clemson and one for the University Rowing Association.

The third and final flight of the day takes place at 11:00 AM. Nine boats will compete in the varsity 4+ event, including four by Clemson alone. Georgia will have three boats in the competition, while the University Rowing Association and South Carolina will each have one.

The Tail of the Tiger is the first of five fall regattas for Clemson this year. The next event for the Tigers will be the Clemson Class Day, an annual regatta held October 17.
