Clemson rowing heads to Ann Arbor, MI this weekend to face 2nd-ranked Michigan as well as Notre Dame and Eastern Michigan. There will be seven events in total with a race starting every 15 minutes beginning with the novice races at 11:15am. Michigan State will join the regatta for a novice eight race and a varsity four race.

The Tigers will also be racing a Novice 8+ and Varsity 8+ crew on Lake Hartwell this Saturday in the Clemson Sprints to be hosted by the Clemson Rowing Association. Heat races will take place in the morning with the Novice 8+ final at 1:20 and the Varsity 8+ final at 2:40.

This will be the first regatta of the spring season for both Michigan and Eastern Michigan. Michigan returns six rowers from its 2003 squad that finished second at the NCAA Championships. Notre Dame returns to the water after competing against No. 13 Tennessee and No. 8 Michigan State as well as No. 18 Duke. The Tigers hosted Notre Dame on Lake Hartwell last spring where Clemson took first in the Varsity 4+, Novice 8+, Varsity 8+, and 2nd Novice 8+. The fighting Irish took home wins in the 2nd Varsity 4+ and 2nd Varsity 8+. All four teams last met at the Lexus South/Central Region Sprints.
