Clemson Lady Tiger Basketball Team Honored at Banquet
April 16, 2004 CLEMSON, SC-Senior forward, Lakeia Stokes was named the Most Valuable Player and Julie Talley was named the Most Improved Player at the annual Clemson Lady Tiger Basketball Awards/Appreciation Banquet held Thursday night at the Madren Center on the Clemson University campus. Stokes, who led the team in scoring with a 17.0 ppg. average, was also the recipient of the best playmaker award, best free throw pct. award, the best offensive player award, and the best rebounder award. She led the team in assists with 104, and shot .746 from the free throw line. Stokes led the Lady Tigers in rebounding with a 7.0 rpg. mark. Maggie Slosser was the winner of the best hustle award and the best field goal percentage award. She hit .500 from the floor. Julie Aderhold was named the winner of the Coaches' Award for best attitude. Senior guard, Kanetra Queen won the team's Leadership Award and was named the best Defensive Player.
