Greensboro, N.C. ­ The pairings for the ACC women's basketball tournament were announced Monday, with North Carolina claiming the top seed for the first time since the 1996-97 season. The tournament begins Friday, March 4 and concludes with the championship game on Monday, March 7.

Clemson will be the #11 seed in the tournament and will face #6 Maryland in the first round. The game is scheduled for 8:00 PM on Friday. The Terrapins narrowly defeated the Lady Tigers, 87-82, earlier this season at Littlejohn Coliseum. The winner of the 6/11 matchup moves on to face the #3 seed N.C. State Wolfpack on Saturday.
