Clemson to Compete at Penn Relays

CLEMSON, SC - The Clemson men's track and field team will compete at the 2002 Penn Relays this weekend in Philadelphia. Doug Ameigh, Terrance McDaniel, Larry Griffin, Otto Spain, Jacey Harper, Airese Currie, Dwight Thomas, Todd Matthews and Ato Modibo will compete for the Tigers.
Ato Modibo currently ranks 10th in the 400m dash with a time of 45.81, and Todd Matthews has the 10th-fastest time in the country in the 110m hurdles (13.73). Dwight Thomas ranks sixth in the country in the 200m dash with his season-best time of 20.45. He also ranks 11th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.74 and has the 17th-best time of 10.27 in the 100m dash. The Tigers' 4x100m relay team of Larry Griffin, Otto Spain, Jacey Harper and Airese Currie is 19th with a time of 39.86. Rick Hill is ranked 17th in the decathlon with a qualifying mark of 7,165 points.
