Clemson, SC - Mitch Greeley, crowned ACC champion in the pole vault last week, headlines a small group of men's track & field athletes from Clemson making the trip to Philadelphia this week for the Penn Relays. The 113th edition of the meet will be held at historic Franklin Field. Clemson, ranked #18 nationally in the latest USTFCCCA calculations, will only compete in three events this week. The Tiger program is coming off a runner-up finish at the ACC Outdoor Championships last weekend in Atlanta, GA.

Greeley ranks among the top pole vaulters in the nation, and he has a chance to earn one of the top prizes of his highly decorated career Saturday. He and teammate Chris Spear will both compete in the vault at 2:00 PM Both student-athletes have qualified for the East Region Championships in May.

The only individual competing in a running event this week for the Tigers will be Travis Swaggard in the 400m intermediate hurdles. The junior, who already owns a regional-qualifying time in the event, will compete Friday beginning at 9:00 AM.

Clemson will enter only one relay team this week, its smallest entry list in years at the Penn meet. The Tigers will enter a distance medley relay team for Friday's 4:00 race time. The group will be composed of Matt Hughes on the 1200m leg, Miller Moss in the quarter mile, Jasen Turnbull at 800m, with Matt Clark the anchor in the mile.
