Clemson red-shirt freshman Mike Feathers wrapped up competition Wednesday in a multi-event challenge at the Rock Norman Outdoor Track & Field Complex. Feathers recorded 5,987 points in the decathlon to place second overall. Allen Bullick of unattached status posted an automatic qualifying total of 7,589 points to finish first. Joey O'Rourke, also unattached, totaled 5,909 points and was third.

Feathers' top event on Wednesday was the discus throw, where he surpassed his season-best with a mark of 125'1". Feathers ran the 1500m in 4:47.56, also a season-best for the Grand Island, NY native. He had a time of 15.25 in the 110m hurdles and threw the javelin 160'4". Feathers did not record a height in the pole vault.
