Mike Feathers recorded 3,336 points on Tuesday in the first five events of the Clemson multi-events competition from the Rock Norman Track Complex. Feathers, a red-shirt freshman from Grand Island, NY, finished fourth in the decathlon with 6,642 points at the ACC Championships last month in Winston-Salem, NC.

Feathers was second in the 400m with a time of 52.43. He also finished third in the high jump (5'10.75"), third in the long jump (20'8.75"), and third in the shot put (43'3.75"). Tiger senior Brent Hobbs had hoped to improve on his total of 7,101 points from the ACC decathlon, but he only competed in three events Tuesday.

Allen Bullick, an unattached athlete, was first in all five events on Tuesday and holds the decathlon lead at 3,809 points. Joey O'Rourke, also unattached, totaled 2,949 points on Tuesday.

Mitch Greeley, the Clemson record-holder in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault, actually competed on Tuesday. He was runner-up in the 100m dash with a time of 11.44 seconds. He also hit a mark of 20'1.75" in the long jump.

The decathlon will conclude on Wednesday with the final five events: 110m hurdles, pole vault, discus throw, javelin throw, and 1500m run.
