PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Clemson men's track and field team completed competition at the 111th annual Penn Relays held this weekend. The Tigers turned in several top-10 finishes at this year's meet, with Jason Bell posting the top performance with a fourth-place finish in the triple jump championship. Bell, a sophomore from Warner-Robbins, GA, recorded a mark of 50'5.25".

The Tigers opened the meet with the 400m hurdles Championship. Scott Kautz led Clemson with a time of 52.58, followed by Rashad Gardner's time of 53.92. Michael Bolling crossed the finish line in 54.93. Clemson competed in the shuttle hurdle relay, as Roy Cheney, Gardner, Ryan Koontz and Lydell Perry helped the Tigers to a fifth-place finish and time of 58.23. In the qualifying of the 110m hurdles, Roy Cheney turned in a time of 14.32, while Lydell Perry clocked a 14.34.

Derek Gilson placed sixth in the college discus throw competition with a mark of 167'10". Long jump All-American George Kitchens finished seventh in the triple jump championship, as he posted a mark of 23'9". In the college hammer throw, Danny Alge posted a mark of 188'4" to place eighth in that event.

The Tigers return to action next Saturday as they host the Orange and Purple Classic at the Rock Norman Track and Field Complex.
