Philadelphia, PA - Travis Swaggard finished 14th in the 400m hurdles Friday to highlight Clemson's first action at the 113th edition of the historic Penn Relays Carnival. The junior from Lorton, VA posted a time of 52.77, short of the regional-qualifying standard. However, his time was good enough for 14th-best out of 56 participants.
The distance medley relay team also competed Friday for Bob Pollock's squad. The group of Matt Hughes, Miller Moss, Jasen Turnbull, and Matt Clark combined for a time of 10:09.73 in the collegiate section of the DMR. The group finished 17th overall in that section.
The action will conclude for the Tigers on Saturday with Mitch Greeley and Chris Spear in the 2 PM, championship section of the pole vault.
