Final Stats

The Clemson Men's Track and Field Team won the Clemson Invitational Saturday. The Tigers scored 136.5 points as a team, barely edging second place Charlotte, who had 135 points. Georgia Tech was third with 89.33, Auburn was fourth with 78, followed by fifth place Georgia with 77.50, sixth place Alabama with 62.66, and Virginia Tech who finished with 21 points. Event winners for the Tigers included Will Noble who won the mile run with a time of 4:14.36. Sean Reilly took home the 3000m event with a time of 8:36.31, Adam Linkenauger won the high jump with a mark of 6'11.75", and Jason Bell won the triple jump with a leap of 50'8".

Ryan Koontz finished second in the 60m high hurdles with a time of 7.98, and Brent Hobbs placed seventh with a time of 8.23. Lydell Perry finished eighth with a time of 8.50 after a judges' decision. Rashad Gardner finished sixth in the 400m with a time of 49.71, Cowin Mills was seventh at 49.72, and Andrew Porter finished eighth with a time of 50.09. Darrian Hodges finished fifth in the 800m with a time of 1:56.41, and Abdurrab Watkins was eighth with a time of 2:01.62. Clay Pendleton scored for the Tigers after finishing third in the mile run with a time of 4:18.46, and Brian Soder also scored with a time of 4:31.98, finishing eighth. Soder also finished fifth with a time of 8:51.85 in the 3000m. The 4X400m relay team of Lydell Perry, Cowin Mills, Roy Cheney, and Rashad Gardner finished second with a time of 3:18.73. Koontz finished fourth in the high jump with a mark of 6'6". In the pole vault, Mitch Greeley finished second with a mark of 17'0.75", and Andrew Kessler was fifth with a mark of 15'7".

Orlando Brown registered a time of 7.19 in the 60m dash. Rashad Gardner finished the 60m high hurdles with a time of 8.31. Orlando Brown had a time of 23.02 in the 200m. Ryan Koontz had a mark of 15'1" in the pole vault. Brent Hobbs had a throw of 42'9.5" in the shot put.
