Team Results

TUSCALOOSA, AL - Clemson's Robert Pietrucha won a singles flight championship at the Alabama Crimson Tide Fall Invitational in Tuscaloosa, AL on October 24-26.

Pietrucha defeated James Moye of Vanderbilt in the finals 6-2, 7-6. The Tigers' Kevin Fleck reached the finals of another flight. Meedo El Tabakh of Illinois defeated Fleck 6-3, 6-2 in the championship match.

Ike Belk of Clemson defeated teammate Wesley Moran 6-4, 6-3 in a consolation finals match of a flight by a 6-4, 6-3 score.

"I am very proud in the way we competed in this tournament," said Clemson Head Coach Chuck McCuen. We have worked very hard this fall and we made a lot of progress. We look forward to the spring. We will continue to work hard and make improvement."

This was the last event for the Tigers this fall. Clemson opens the 2009 season on January 24, when the Tigers play host to The Citadel.
