Clemson Men's Tennis Team Falls To Miami

CORAL GABLES, FL - The Clemson men's team dropped a 5-2 decision to Miami Saturday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on the Coral Gables campus. The Hurricanes improve to 6-4 on the season, while the Tigers drop to 12-5 overall. In singles action, Nathan Thompson fell to #18 Todd Wilson at number one singles (6-0, retired). Andrew Golub defeated the Tigers' Sander Koning 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 at flight two singles. At number three singles, Micah Thompson won a three-set match (3-6, 6-3, 6-2) over Luis Manrique. Jarmaine Jenkins dropped a 6-3, 6-2 decision to Colin Purcell at flight four singles. Damiisa Robinson fell to Eric Hechtman at number five singles, 7-5, 7-5. Clemson's John Boetsch was victorious at number six singles over John Hoyes by a score of 7-5, 6-2. In doubles play, Nathan Thompson and Jenkins fell to Golub and Purcell 8-3 at number one doubles. The Tigers' duo of Robinson and Misquith posted an 8-6 win over Manrique and Hoyes at flight two doubles. At number three doubles, Koning and Boetsch dropped an 8-6 decision to Widom and Hechtman.
