CLEMSON LEADERS--Wojtek Krakowiak leads the Tigers in scoring with 68 points, 30 goals and eight assists. Mark Lisi leads the team in assists with 17. Scott Bower has 16 assists.

CLEMSON'S NEXT ACTION-Clemson will play host to William & Mary on Sunday, November 29, in the NCAA's Round of 16 at the Tigers' Riggs Field at 2:00 p.m. The Tigers are the number-one seed in the tournament. William & Mary defeated South Florida in the first round 2-1 in overtime on November 22.

CLEMSON DEFEATS LAFAYETTE IN NCAA MEN'S SOCCER-Wojtek Krakowiak scored three goals in leading top seeded and number-one ranked Clemson to a 5-0 win over Lafayette in the first round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament at Clemson, SC Sunday afternoon.

With the win, Clemson improves to 21-1 overall, while Lafayette finishes the season with a 16-5 record overall.

Kroakowiak now has 30 goals this season. He is third on the school's list for most goals scored in a single season with 30. Henry Abadi (1973) and Jimmy Glenn (1993) both hold the school record for most goals in a single season with 32.

The Tigers' Mark Lisi and Scott Bower both had two assists each in the Tigers' win. Lisi now has 17 assists and Scott Bower has 16 assists this season.

Clemson has now won 16 matches in a row, this ties the school record for the longest winning streak in school history. The 1973 and the 1977 teams both had winning streaks of 16.

Clemson will play host to William & Mary in the NCAA Round of 16 next Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. on Riggs Field. William & Mary has a 15-7-2 record overall and were 2-1 overtime winners over South Florida. Clemson 5, Lafayette 0

CLEMSON BEATS DUKE 1-0, WINS ACC CHAMPIONSHIP-Scott Bower scored the game's lone goal in leading top-ranked Clemson to a 1-0 win over Duke, and giving Clemson the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship.

Josh Campbell earned his 11th solo shutout of the season and was named the tournament's MVP.

This marked the Tigers' first ever ACC Tournament crown and earned Clemson an automatic berth in the 1998 NCAA Tournament.

The Clemson defense stifled Duke for much of the match, allowing the Blue Devils just five shots on goal all afternoon. After a scorelesss first half, junior midfielder Scott Bower scored what proved to be the game winner at the 53:08 mark as he took a cross from sophomore midfielder Mark Lisi and put it past Duke goalkeeper Atli Knutsson.

Campbell did not allow a goal through two games of the tournament, making seven saves in the Tigers' 2-0 semifinal win over Maryland and one save in the title game against Duke. Other Clemson players earning spots on the ACC All-Tournament team were: Wojtek Krakowiak, Mark Lisi, Scott Bower and Jeff Bilyk.

TIGERS WIN REGULAR SEASON ACC TITLE--Clemson won the regular season ACC Title. This is the third season, Clemson has won the regular season title since the Atlantic Coast Conference started the ACC Tournament to decide its champion. Prior to the 1987 season, the ACC Title was decided by regular season round-robin play. Clemson won the ACC Championship 11 times (10 titles outright) prior to the start of the ACC Tournament in 1987.

Henry Abadi (1973) and Jimmy Glenn (1993) both hold the school record with 32 goals. Krakowiak has scored 16 goals in the last 10 matches.

CLEMSON'S NATIONAL RANKINGS-Clemson is ranked first in both the NSCAA and Soccer America polls released November 16.

JOSH CAMPBELL GAINS 11TH SOLO SHUTOUT--Clemson Goalkeeper, Josh Campbell picked up his 11th solo shutout of the year in the 1-0 win over Duke in the finals of the ACC Tournament on November 15. This season, he has played in 1,834 minutes and has allowed only nine goals. He has a 0.44 goal allowed average and has 74 saves this season.

THREE PLAYERS WITH THREE ASSISTS IN THE SAME GAME- Clemson's Wojtek Krakowiak, Scott Bower, and Scott McIlroy had three assists each in the Belmont game on September 9.

This marked the first time in Clemson history that three players have recorded three assists in a single game. On two previous occasions, against Jacksonville in 1974 and Emory in 1973, Clemson had two players in the same game with three assists.

CLEMSON WINS 100th ALL-TIME ACC MATCH--Clemson's 3-1 win over N.C. State on September 27th was Clemson's 100th all-time Atlantic Coast Conference victory.

ADAIR'S RECORD--Clemson Head Coach Trevor Adair has a 92-45-11 record in his head coaching career. He spent four years at Brown, (1991-1994), and is in his fourth year at Clemson. At Clemson, he has a 58-21-6 mark.

Finalists named for Hermann Trophy -- The 15 finalists for the Hermann Trophy were announced by the National Soccer Hall of Fame selection committee. The award honors the top collegiate soccer player in the nation. The winner of the 1998 Hermann Trophy will be announced on Saturday, Dec. 12, in Richmond, Va. during the NCAA Championships festivities. The finalists are:

TIGER SOCCER TEAM WINS CLEMSON INVITATIONAL--The Clemson men's soccer team defeated the New Hampshire Wildcats 3-0 on Sunday, October 4, and claimed the team title in the 23rd annual Clemson/Adidas Invitational . In the other match for the Tigers in the Invitational, Clemson defeated Cal-Poly SLO 7-1 on October 2.

Mark Lisi is tied for third for most points (37). Mark Lisi leads the ACC in assists with 17, and Bower is in second place with 16. Clemson's Josh Campbell leads the ACC with a 0.44 goal allowed average.

CLEMSON IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT--Clemson will be playing in their 20th NCAA Tournament and have posted a 36-18 record over the years in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers won the National Championship in 1984 and 1987.
