CLEMSON, S.C. -- Kyle Martino scored early in the first overtime period in leading top-seeded Virginia to a 1-0 overtime victory over fourth-seeded Wake Forest in the first semifinal match of the 15th Annual Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Soccer Championship at Clemson, SC Friday night.

Virginia is ranked second by Soccer America, NSCAA and Soccertimes.com. The Cavaliers are seeded first in the ACC Tournament and remain unbeaten with a 17-0-1 record this season. Wake Forest is ranked ninth by Soccer America, and 13th by the NSCAA. The Demon Deacons are ranked 12th by Soccertimes.com and fall to 13-5-1 this season.

Martino picked off a pass from the Wake Forest defenders and sent a 12-yard shot into an open goal at the 91:26 mark for his sixth goal of the year.

The Cavaliers will play the winner of the Clemson vs. North Carolina match Sunday afternoon in the championship game at 3:30 p.m. at Clemson's Riggs Field.
