Clemson Men's Soccer Wins Fourth Straight, 3-2 Over Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The #8 ranked Clemson men's soccer team got two goals from senior Mark Lisi and two assists from junior Ross Goodacre as the Tigers defeated the Maryland Terrapins 3-2 in the regular season ACC-finale for the Tigers tonight October 27. The Tigers improve to 12-3-1 overall and 3-3 in the ACC. The Terrapins fall to 10-7 on the season and 1-4 in the ACC. Freshman Steven Rhyne scored the matches first goal when he was assisted by Goodacre and junior Ian Fuller at the 35:54 mark. The Tigers took the 1-0 lead into the half before Lisi reeled off two second half scores. Lisi scored his second of the night when he took a pass from Fuller and Goodacre and headed it into the right side of the goal. Maryland would answer the three Tiger scores with two unanswered goals at the 71:06 mark and the 83:48 mark. Abe Thompson and Reed Rickert scored the goals for the Terrapins. Clemson will be in action again this Wednesday, October 5 when they will travel to Charlotte, NC to take on the Charlotte 49ers. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
